Ryan owns and operates a full service professional production studio located in his home in downtown Toronto. Services include VO recording, voice direction, sound design, post audio editing, stereo and 5.1 surround mixing, music recording, editing and mixing, music composition, podcast recording and editing, music licencing, online media production, and just about anything involving audio!

Background

Ryan is a Toronto-based music producer, recording and mix engineer with 18 years experience in the music and audio post industry.

Early in his career, Ryan honed his engineering skills in the Sony/BMG studio on the SSL board under JUNO Award winner, Lenny DeRose, as well as in project studios with indie bands.

In 2012, Ryan built a studio with long-time collaborators and indie rock icons, Sloan. The Sloan Studio has become a go-to space for Canadian musicians and producers: Sloan, TUNS, Zeus, Wayne Petti (Cuff The Duke, Grey Lands), The Golden Dogs, Adrian Eccleston (Drake), Cone (Sum41), Chris Storrow, Alan Snoddy (Stars) and Rowdy Roddy Piper! Ryan has also worked with: Luke Doucet, Rose Cousins, Imogen Heap, Keshia Chante, The Philosopher Kings, Modern Superstitions and The Wooden Sky.  

From 2015 to 2017 , Ryan worked as head engineer at BoomBox Sound, applying his skills in the audio post world.  At BoomBox, he worked on many commercials, documentaries and TV shows for broadcast television, radio and web. Ryan quickly established himself as a talented VO recordist, mixer, music producer sound designer and voice director.  A calm and confident personality in the post world, Ryan is able to set the most demanding clients at ease by carefully listening to feedback and delivering world class, award-winning audio.

Ryan is a graduate of Harris Recording Institute and the University of Guelph. He was born and raised in Toronto.
